Obituary of Marsha Pitter

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman. Marsha Lois Pitter died on February 23, 2024 at the age of 85 surrounded by her beloved family.

Marsha, lovingly known as Meemee, is survived by her husband Ralph, her three adoring daughters Cindy, Jeanee and Vikki, and her two sons-in-law Tony and Greg. And her much loved grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica (Darren), Sophie and Esther and great grandson, Elliott.

She was preceded by her brother Alvin Black. Her parents, Sarah and Harry Black, and grandparents, Jacob and Chai Pessa (Big Bubbe) Kleiner, and Morris and Rose Botterman.

Born in Denver CO on October 24th, 1938, Marsha was welcomed by hard working, loving parents. She graduated from North High School in 1956 and got her first job at the Baker Shoe Store in downtown Denver.

On June 28th,1959 she married Ralph Pitter. They bought their first house on Osceola Street in 1960. It was a 980 square foot house filled with love. Marsha was forever grateful to Ralph for the distinct pleasure and privilege of allowing her to be a stay-at-home wife and mother. Marsha dedicated her life to raising and loving her children, grandchildren and great- grandson.

She was the touchstone and light that brought everyone together. Marsha’s legacy of love is deeply imprinted in every person who loved her and will be honored and celebrated for generations to come.
